Today’s Tallahassee Real Estate Market is on the move. People are buying and selling.
The pricing is not increasing however the inventory is moving, and as time goes on I feel we will see it level off and eventually increase.
The toughest part in today’s market is sellers always feel their homes are worth more.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you are not priced right and your home does not show it’s best you are going to still be here down the road or you will be facing a low ball offer.
You really need to have your home in it’s best presentable condition when showing it.
If there needs to be new paint, carpet, light fixtures etc. make the investment and get those things taken care of.
The worst thing to do is to have someone come in and look at your home and see that all these things will need to be done.
Most people can not see beyond.
You also don’t need to do all of these items if you are on a fixed budget.
I will tell you however a fresh coat of neutral paint will go a long way.
It keeps the buyers from looking at all the other imperfections that need to be done.
Carpet cleaning and pressure washing is a must.
The first impression is the lasting one.
So if they come to your front door and see chipped paint, wear and tear, and work to be done. This means they will want a discount on the price.
Spend a little up front to get a lot in the long run.
