People ask me daily what is going on in the market. The Tallahassee market is still slow as is other areas across the country. People are starting to inquire more regarding what is available and the showings have increased. We need to deplete our inventory in order for our market to correct itself.
In order for this to happen people need to invest in property. Some say they are waiting for prices to hit bottom.
The longer you wait the higher the interest rate will rise and then when the inventory starts to drop those good buying opportunities that are there now will be gone.
If you as a buyer are seriouse about buying you have all the cards in your favor. There are special opportunities thru the lenders along with the $8000 tax credit for first time home buyers or if you have not owned a home in the last 3 years. There are qualifications to get the tax credit.
It is highly advised that you meet with a lender to see what you can qualify for and what program is best suited for you. The lender will determine what type of down payment if you assistance in your closing cost and what that actual monthly payment is going to be.
Once you have taken that first step then get with you Realtor to assist you in the process of finding that perfect home or investment property that you have been searching for.
