I am definitely seeing changes happen in our local Tallahassee market. I have been working with numerous buyers, and I am finding good inventory to sell being depleted. This will eventually mean prices will start to increase and new construction should start on the incline as well.
Also this past week I sold 2 new construction homes in the $145,000 and the $240,000 range. (I also wrote 2 contracts this past weekend, and we are in the middle of negotiations.) This is great because now we need to begin 2 more homes to take their place. It also means that new jobs will be on the horizon as construction breeds new jobs. I am not saying this will happen overnight, but because of all of this positive activity it means that the real estate market in Tallahassee is on the mend.
