There are so many things you can do as a seller to get your home ready to be seen by prospective buyers. Your goal is to have someone come into your home and be able to picture themselves living there. There are simple things you can do to help buyers visualize your home being THEIR new home!
DEpersonalize your space…take down those 14 picture collages you have lining the mantel and hallway, put away the outdated wall hanging that grandma gave you, collect your kids’ art projects that cover your refrigerator and put them out of sight.
DEclutter the entire house. Less is more when you are showing your home. Sometimes buyers will not be able to see the “gem” beyond the stuff. Clear floor space as much as possible…always makes a home feel bigger. Big tip: load excess furniture and personal items into a pod. It will all have to be moved anyway when you sell your home, and it will clear up closet, attic, and garage space for showing!
DEcrease any repairs the buyer will need to do. They are already about to spend money, and they will not want to see things that will add to their costs once they move in.
Doing some of these little things could help your home sell more quickly!
